Red Diamond sources grapes from the best locations around the world to reveal the distinct personalities of outstanding varietals. Benefiting from CaliforniaAAAs warm climate and long growing season, our Cabernet Sauvignon opens with subtle oak aromas leading into hints of creamy cherry and black coffee on the velvety finish. The multi-faceted AAARed DiamondAAA wines showcase the unique personality of WashingtonAAAs grapes AAAa stylish Merlot, a confident Cabernet, a bold Shiraz and a smooth Chardonnay. These are food-friendly, straightforward wines, designed for approachability and easy-drinking. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Syrah and Merlot. After harvest, the grapes were destemmed, crushed and inoculated with Pre- mier Cuvee and Pasteur Red yeasts. To extract the ruby red color and tannins out of the skins, pump-overs and punch-downs were performed twice daily. Good value and a bit of bite

This is the standard choice of red wine in our household. It's excellent value: better than some wines at more than double the price.I'm English, and I find many California wines a bit bland and a bit sweet for my taste. This one, however, has some bite and some body , although it's certainly not acerbic; I like the balance.Their Merlot is also fine, although perhaps a bit blander.I'm giving the Cab 5 stars for value. On an absolute scale, I'd say 4 — it's the most drinkable red wine I've found under $10.00
