The Syrah We Measure All Syrahs By

My wife and I have traveled the world for the last ten years learning about wine regions, vineyards, the winemakers and the varietals. When we discovered Scott Harvey's Syrah at a wine-tasting on our own continent, we were astounded at the quality and price. We searched throughout the world for one better. From the France's Rhone Valley, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Portugal - NADA. We're here to tell you - you won't find one this good and especially for this price (his Reserves is worth trying, though.) It is sensuous, sultry and flavorful but also balanced and a total crowd-pleaser with food. We have learned that Scott was trained in Germany but makes wine from California in the Sierras and Napa Valley. He combines the best of Old World and New World styles in this product. We have been drinking his Syrah for years - it's our "Go TO." Instant fans have been created when introducing our friends and family to it. We are still searching for one better - always a good excuse to travel and drink - but we now know it probably isn't going to happen. Cheers!
