Product Description
Warm and dry weather provided physiologically mature fruit for a balanced wine of civilized alcohol . An exercise in viticultural Darwinism About ten years ago Tammy and I started clearing a little piece of earth and rocks just east of our Fait Accompli Vineyard. It was a labor of love (and curiosity) as it was predominately rocks with just a little decomposed granite silted in around them. Museum is named for the five historic and three French clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, one clone of Gros Verdot and a dash of French Cot (Malbec 595) all on their own roots for varietal purity. The Cabernet Sauvignon clones are: Tokolon, See, Inglenook Garden, UCD4, 6, 191, ENTAV169 and INRA 5197. The vines struggle with their harsh environment and the weak are systematically replaced with cuttings from the strong giving one of our clients the inspiration to refer to Museum as "An exercise in viticultural Darwinism".
